- StorageSoldered to the board. It can’t be swapped for a bigger one. For more space we set up an external or network drive.
- Memory (RAM)Soldered to the board, so it can’t be added to. If it is short of memory we look at a faster drive or a clean install instead.
- New batteryFor a battery that only lasts an hour, or shuts down without warning.
- Windows 11Clean install or in-place upgrade, with your files and programs carried over. We check it meets the Windows 11 requirements first.
- Move to a new computerFiles, email, photos and settings moved across from this one.

Data recovery
Getting your files back
On the Surface Pro 7 the storage is soldered to the board, so it can’t be removed and read elsewhere. If it won’t start, we repair the board until it boots, then copy your files off.

Pack it up
Box the computer with padding on every side. A tracked courier collects it from your home or work.
Diagnosis and quote
We find the fault on the bench and give you one fixed price. Nothing is done until you say yes.
Repair and test
The part is replaced or repaired, then the machine is run under load to make sure the fault is gone.
Back to your door
Repacked and returned by tracked courier, with a note of what was done.
