What we do
Repairs and upgrades for the MacBook Air 13-inch
Repairs FAULTS
- Screen replacementCracked glass, lines, flicker or a dead backlight. A matching panel fitted and the display cable checked.
- Keyboard and trackpadDead or sticky keys, a trackpad that won’t click. On MacBooks the keyboard is riveted into the top case, so the two are replaced together.
- Battery and chargingShort battery life, swelling, or no charge through the charging port.
- Hinges and casingStiff, loose or snapped hinges, cracked lids and bezels.
- Liquid damageStripped, cleaned of corrosion and tested board by board. The sooner it reaches us, the better the odds.
- Motherboard repairComponent-level work on power, charging and graphics faults, rather than a whole new board.
- Overheating and fan noiseFans and heatsink cleaned, thermal paste renewed.
- Virus and software problemsMalware removed, macOS repaired and updated, files checked.
Upgrades SPEED & SPACE
- SSD upgradeA removable Apple SSD module, so it can be replaced with a larger one.
- Memory (RAM)Soldered to the board, so it can’t be added to. If it is short of memory we look at a faster drive or a clean install instead.
- New batteryFor a battery that only lasts an hour, or shuts down without warning.
- macOS reinstallA fresh, updated macOS with your files carried over.
- Move to a new computerFiles, email, photos and settings moved across from this one.

Data recovery
Getting your files back
The Apple MacBook Air 13-inch uses a removable Apple SSD module. If the Mac has failed but the SSD is healthy, we read it on the bench with an adapter. If the SSD itself has failed, it needs firmware or board-level recovery.
The initial consultation is free. Prices exclude VAT. See the full data recovery price list.
